Should I trust this girl to give her $90 to buy me a chanel purse?

We're not really friends, but we know of each other.
I saw her wear the purse I want, and I told my friend,
that is friends with her to ask her where she got it.
Then my friend told me that she got it from her mom's
friend, so if I wanted one I would give her $90 to buy me
the purse from that lady. I really don't know if I should
give it to her? I really really want that purse, and there is
no place else to get it. If I lose $90, my parents would kill me!

There is no way in hell to buy an authentic Chanel for $90. Remember: if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is! Whomever she got that from is selling counterfeits.

Sorry to say, but if you think $90 is a lot of money to lose Chanel is not within your designer realm right now (and by buying a fake you are just throwing away hard earned money on a piece of garbage that will probably fall apart quicker than a Kmart bag, was probably made in a sweatshop by small children, and the money goes to things like organized crime and terrorism). Please, do not support counterfeiting. Not only will those with the real-deal know enough to be laughing hysterically at your fake, but it's just NOT a good industry.

For $90 it's most likely a knock off. A lot of people have purse parties where some lady comes to the house & brings a bunch of fake designer purses. This is probably where the girl got hers. If you don't mind having a knock off, I suggest you look very closely at her purse, because some are good and some look really cheap up close.
If you don't trust the girl enough to give her your money just tell her to call you when the lady brings the purse over and you'll pay her yourself. If she tries to say her purse is real, she's either lying, or someone lied to her & the fool actually believed it. No way is it real.

They sell Chanel knockoffs near the T station at Govt. Center in Boston, Ma for $40.

And make sure its real also. Chanel is one of the more expensive designers in the purse department, so $90 sounds a little low for a real Chanel.

No way, chanel purses cost 700 to 1000 dollars.
There is no way she could buy you one for $90.

There are some fake ones out there that are pretty for a lot cheaper. If you are picky about authentic then don't get it because people can tell if it is fake or not.

No, how about you set up a place to meet her mom's friend and you buy the purse from her. If the girl makes excuses about why you can't make the sell directly with her mom's friend then I'd say don't do it. I rather have no purse and $90 then no money OR the purse. Better to be safe then sorry!

Life's all about chances. If you think that most likely she will get it for you, then take the risk and give her the money! Otherwise, don't. Maybe you should talk to the girl more and get to know her before you give her money you don't want to lose. Sometimes it's hard to know who to trust. She might be nice and will get you the purse, but you never know if she will steal the money. If I were you, I would wait. There are plenty of cute purses out there, ones you can buy yourself. Besdies, maybe it won't be the one you even want.

Write a check. She can't do anything with it as long as it isn't in her name so her only choices are to actually give it to the woman for the purse or tear it up. If she comes back to you and says that only cash will work, tell her no deal. Or ask her for the woman's phone number who has the purse so you can directly deal with her instead of going through channels.
