Make a list of things you want and/or want to achieve.

Maybe you want an iPod - your goal is to obtain the iPod.

Maybe you want to be doctor or professional athlete.

Write that down as a goal, then figure out what achievable sub goals you need to support that larger goal. If you wanted the iPod, your sub goal would be to figure out how much money is required to buy one, then figure out how to get the money etc.. seems stupid/simple, but if you figure out a recipe to get what you want then it becomes achievable.

Actually, that doesn't sound all that silly. I know adults who have no goals and have no idea what there goals should be. Whatever goal you choose, it should be one that you desire to reach. Say, for example, you don't like your job or don't make enough money at it. You goal could be a variety of things! One being to take some courses or class to better prepare you for the job you really want.. another goal could be to refresh your resume and work on marketing yourself through online job sources (like Monster) as well as local businesses, or even a third option could be to research areas to relocate to that would provide you with a better change to get a better paying job in your current career or giving you better opportunity to advance in your career. Once you make a decision regarding the method you'll use, you next need to figure out the possible steps needed to achieve that goal. For each person, this will be different,so this is the part that is really unique to your circumstances. Each step that you reach is getting you closer to your final goal, until you reach it.

It's a matter of figuring out what you want out of life, and which path is most ideal for you to get what you want! Then go make it happen! ☺

get a notebook and write them down everyday/week and keep track of how you are doing to achieve your daily and weekly goals. then maybe even move into annual goals or things you would like to accomplish by a certain number of years. Make a list of things you need to do to reach each goal, no matter how far fetched it seems. Gotta have a plan.

You can make a goal in soccer, hockey and cricket. In football that would be a touchdown.
