I apologize in advance.. this may come out as more of a rant, but I just wanted to see if anyone else feels this way...
I'm tired of arguing.. I really am.. I've tried my absolute best to do my research and present facts.. But it seems like no matter what I do people refuse to listen... There is an abundance of information out there, why do people continue to be in a state of delusion... I don't care if your a liberal or conservative or anything else anymore.. I'm tired of the blame game... I'm tired of ignorant people... I see the state of the world and it makes me so upset, I try to do as much as I can to change things, but I just feel powerless. Does anyone else see things this way?
"Note please refrain from rude comments, I didn't write this to trash anyone's beliefs.. I'm just frusturated with the situation.. thats all

Sometimes but not so much. I do know from where you are coming. You and I almost always stand together on issues. So I know what's on your mind. And I experience the same responses that you experience.
I hope that you're not down because of failure to get through to people on forums such as this. We just don't have the personal connection to break through barriers. While I am glad if I can educate, I view impersonal forums more as an opportunity to hone my arguments. I also try to practice the art of recognizing merit in even the most ignorant views. If I could ever correct an erroneous view, I profit. Even if not, that is a much better stand-point from which to change someone if I still think that I'm right.
Where it matters most is in personal relationships. Over the last few years, I have profoundly changed some of my philosophies (especially relating to politics). Some of it was distressing to my wife. And I was upset when I couldn't initially get her to see my views. Since then, with patience I have brought her to see many of the merits of my ideas. I have also refined my ideas. In the meantime, I have fully converted a number of my friends to my ideas. It just takes time.
Don't feel hopeless. And if you're tired, then let it rest.

Join the club, sweetie. The hope I cling to is that someday the Lord Jesus will come back, and He will judge, and mete out justice, and make every wrong right. Perfect justice ! Sounds wonderful doesn't it? We live in such a messy world.......but there is hope for our future!
