My cousin wants to set up a eBay account. She previously had one when she was at her mums address but due to Nigerian fraudsters she got it suspended. She tried opening another eBay account but couldn't do so with the same bank account details. She now has a new bank account, can she now open a new eBay account? If so can she open it in her mother's address or will the eBay account be once again closed? Is it just better to use her own address? Does it matter what address now that she has different bank details? Please help... Thanks in advance.

I'm fairly sure she will have to open under a new address.
They also ask you to provide a land line number which an automated service rings you on to verify the phone number.
Other than that she should be fine.

hi, i have the same problemas ebay suspend people to readily, i bought a item in error from the seller & emailed him to apologise, he then emailed me back to say it wasn't a problem a week later i had a message from ebay telling me i was suspended, i told ebay what had happened & asked the seller why he reported me to ebay as he told me it wasn't a problem & neither one have contacted me since. i could appeal against it but i've heard it takes ages to get back on. it is terribly rude of them as i have spent a lot of money buying from them, if i could get back on some how i will don't you worry about that i feel like i've been treated like a school child & punished. EBAY YOUR RULES STINK!

I think it would be better to use your own address. you dont want another account to be suspended then have to start over again. :-)

If she is still having problems, there are new online auction sites available that are apparently "on the up" - not something I'm into so I can't vouch for them. I thin one of them is called Ebid. Try googling "online auction"??
