Since brands change, I will go by a current baby. My cousin's daughter is 2 now and I think HUGGIES was the best diaper. That velcro stuff was great to check and that diaper fit nice and snuggly. They mostly bought Target brand and that was good as well.

My son is now almost 5 months. In the beginning we bought huggies newborn and size 1 but after those first packs we didn't like it because it always somehow leaked so we tried pampers and like it a lot better and especially now they just started making the small sizes in pampers flex (super stretchy sides) which they didn't used to and thats why i used to like huggies but now that pampers comes with flex and doesn't leak like huggies i love it. Its so obsorbent sometimes i don't change his diaper all night because i don't want to wake him up and he still goes by without leakage.

I love Huggies. I tried a bunch of other brands, and they ALL gave my daughter diaper rash, and seemed to leak-even Pampers and Luvs.

When he was a newborn, I loved Pampers Swaddlers. He's now almost 4 months and we like Huggies Gentle Care for him.

Huggies all the way.
ps: if you haven't deduced from the other answers, there is no "best brand". People swear up and down that one brand is the best while another brand sucks, yet others have the opposite experience.

White cloud by walmart. They are inexpensive (about 7.00 for 44) and hold up really well. They also have many sizes as well. Perfect for a mom on a budget!

A Chinese prefold with a Snappi and a homemade wool soaker. The best combination ever. I'll never go back to Pampers--they stink.

pampers - cruisers in my opinion are the absolute best!
it's the ONLY kind we will use with our daughter. they
seem to fit the best, be the most absorbant and we don't have any problems with them causing diaper rash or anything like that.
