They said that last year and it never happened. Saying that they promised us a hot summer and we got floods.

1st - The Farmer's Almanac which uses old time and new age ways of determining this pattern say it's going to be much wetter than in recent years (snow) and colder in our area and a hard winter in general for the country.

2nd - Due to the cold snap we had in spring that stole all our peaches, fruits, and acorns, all the water we had after that, then all the drought we had after that, our trees were stunted as were many of nature's produce so animals will have a more difficult time of it this year. (Acorns made a slight come back but we still lost a large crop) Deer and squirrels will feel the hurt.

3rd - We're in a 50 year cycle. Study the NOAA weather books.

4th - There's supposed to be a large solar flare forecasted to interrupt power in the Northern hemisphere around March. Lets hope winter has left by then.

Do I believe it's going to be a long hard winter? Yes but it'll have periods of reprieve.

Well, i'm no expert, but i think it will be. If its this cold already and its only mid september i would think so, but thats basically personal opinion. If you live in the UK, i think it's going to be a horrible winter, because if you look at that AWFUL summer we just had, I'd think the winter will be VERY cold. Not super wet, but icy and snowy. The summer was like winter... its going to be a mini ice age people!! :P

seems like it will be. as you get older you will realize a pattern in the wather and you will get to know this kind of summer means we will have a good winter or short or long winter. i live in florida nad personally the way it is going, i think we are in for a very long and cold winter all across the u.s. especially in the north west.

I live in Western NC in the mountains. We didn't have much of a winter last year. Very little snow. I am hoping for some snow this season. Summer was very hot and dry, severe drought here we could use some precip in one form or another.

According to the latest edition of the Farmer's Almanac, this is supposed to be a tough, cold winter with lots of snow. Mind you, most meterologists have stated the opposite, so really, who knows.

Cold and clear with plenty of early morning mists.

The bushes are full of hard red berries for the birds.

Forget the Weather Forecast; I've felt my sea weed and looked at my Fir Cones.

Spring cold and wet.

Summer hot and humid.

I expect it will be horrendous & extremeley cold. This is based on the fact we had a mild winter last year & an appalling summer =(

This means next summer will be awesome though. Hopefully!

Probably so! The polar ice caps are melting. The planet is warming. Flooding is terrible! Expect even more moisture in the winter. Get out yor winter coat. I have mine ready.
