You are wrong, We declared WAR on japan via congress.
We did not declare war in the gulf.
That's all Ron Paul is saying is follow the law of the constitution. Get war declared through congress.

budroscoe, YES according to our constitution, to go to war congress must declare war. The president should not purjure the oath to protect and defend the constitution like Bush did. Now look at the mess.

LOL Ron Paul?
the "truther" candidate?
lol anyone who seriously thinks any one else in Washington would pass any of his legislation is seriously deluded.
The only people who should seriously be looking at Ron Paul are doctors who specialize in dementia and psychosis.
The man is cracked, listen to him for 5 minutes and you know he is off his gourd. Watch the debates and you see him screeching like a child and avoiding the questions asked. The man is a joke, plain and simple and his actions show he has no right to be president.

No dude you're wrong.
The constitution also states that in a the situation of 9-11 or Pearl Harbor the president can legally declare war on another country. but it is only good for so lang. then congress has to declare war!!!! Civics class

Do we have to declare war prior to every action taken by our military? Is this only a contemporary issue, post WW2, or did this come up when we were just a fledgling nation? Did Jefferson ask Congress permission to invade Tripoli?

Speaking of Constitution, the Iraqis didn't help us get our freedom from King George. They didn't help us write our constitution so why the heck are we helping them write theirs.
Let the Iraqi people make their own mistakes as the have been doing for centuries to come.
Let's not kid ourselves. As soon as the United States leaves, everything is going to go back the way it was before we got their. If Bush says we are there to promote peace in that area then we are truly "occupiers." cause we are the ones who are trying to control that country not Iraq.
Things are going slow over there politically, because "Duh" look at how much time it took for our country to adapt to the constitution after we first wrote it.

Dr. Paul, whether he wins the Presidency or not, is spreading a message that will ultimately determine the course of this country. The young people absolutely love him, and he has encouraged an unprecedented rise in students joining their schools government groups from where future leaders will be molded. He has also sparked interest in government in many Americans that previously were indifferent. And most importantly, through his consistent and incorruptible convictions he has showed the nation what fools we have trying to become President. Ron Paul is the best thing that has happened to this country. God bless him!

I'm sick of the disregard for our Constitution. This is why I like and support Ron Paul. I'm with you.
Funny - All the Hillary pollers are constantly advertising and stuffing her name on Yahoo Answers as if she could possibly stand a chance of winning. Super funny. But those same loonies attempt to stiffle the representation of truth. Those people have no idea how damaging they are to Hillary Clinton's chances. But it's good actually, the more evident it is that ignorant, uninformed people are behind the Democrats, the better for the Republicans!

Wow! - Did you notice how quickly your question was "flushed" into second page by a bunch of totally stupid questions posted right after? It happens every time anyone posts anything about Ron Paul. I like that he irks the uninformed Obama little trolls!
Ron Paul is here to stay!
Stone K: You're funny. Since you have not watched any of the debates, check them out on youtube before you talk.

Ron Paul is a good candidate when it comes to domestic issues.
When it comes to National Security, I would be scared to have this man as my president.
