A typhoon is a tropical cyclone that forms in the northern Pacific Ocean east of the International Date Line.
A tsunami is a type of undersea wave that can propagate at high speed across oceans and if strong enough cause catastrophic damage as it crashes on shore sometimes thousands of miles away.
They normally are caused by earthquakes or under sea volcanoes.

Tsunami occurs below the water surface whereas typhoon occurs above the water surface.
Tsunami is a disturbance inside the water in the form of waves whereas typhoon occurs in the atmospheric air in the form of whirling motion.
Tsunami is invisible till it reaches the shore(warning can be given approximately based on Ritcherts scale) and a silent killer whereas typhoon can be tracked with a satellite or radar and its movement can be forecast in advance.
Earth quake is the reason for tsunami whereas warm ocean surface is the reason for typhoon formation.
But both origiate from ocean only.

A typhoon is the same as a monsoon or a hurricane ... it's a 'wind storm' with lots of clouds and rain. A tsunami is a 'tidal wave' that can come after an earthquake ... and that can be in the same area as the 'quake, or on the other side of the water ... sea, ocean, or even lake.

A hurricane and a hurricane are a similar, different than in call and site. Hurricanes happen interior the Caribbean area (jap US section) while typhoons happen on the Asian factor of the Pacific Ocean. they're in actuality extensive storms that type over the sea, leaving dying and destruction whilst they bypass over the land. Tsunamis are huge tidal waves that type whilst there's a seaquake or a sufficient tension that motives a super type of water to be displaced (alongside with a mass landslide or a volcanic eruption). they have little, if something, to do with wind.
