Does it seem like there are a lot more ads like that then there used to be? I usually turn the sound off now when they come on because I don't want to hear the lengthy description of the side effects! They sound worse than what the drug is trying to cure! Not to mention that some of the 'ailments' are embarrassing to hear about.........

Yes, I am sick of seeing them and I'm also sick of hearing the phrase "See your doctor.". No wonder this country has such a bad drug problem. It's commercials like these that encourage people to believe that popping pills will cure all their ailments. For example, why do you need to take pills for something called "Restless Leg Syndrome"? It's an annoying problem but there are other ways to treat it rather than use drugs that could also cause side effects.

The one that bothers me the most is the on that says if you have an ******** lasting more than four hours, seek immediate medical attention. First of all, wouldn't you have a clue that something is wrong if it lasts more than say, two and a half hours? And secondly, wouldn't you be the laughing stock of the entire staff and everybody they know if you walked into an emergency room and when they asked, What is the problem, you said, well , it has been over four hours and...

Actually I was excited when I saw the first commercial about inhaled insulin. What a breakthrough!

HOWEVER, all that advertising is raising the rates on what we pay for these drugs. So even if it can help, you'd have to be a millionaire to get it regularly.

No....because it reminds me of how from everything we eat (for those who don't have time to cook their OWN food), to, what you TRY to eat to survive!!! We really don't know WHAT our own country is doing to what we consume on a daily basis....that's supposedly "nutritious" or "healthy," As a result of what we put "in" our bodies, is a result of those same medical conditions on those commercials....which is scary! If they don't "get" you one way, they'll slowly "get" you with the side effects or the medications. Take your pick....!
