I think that you have to remember that all talk radio is commentary. The only parts of the news you get are filtered through the way they see it. Left to themselves, they would happily tell you how to think on topics from politics to sport, pop culture to religeon. Just don't let them. Think for yourself.

Conservative talk radio is, for the most part, honest. However some of what they say is exaggerated and satirical, usually to point out a shortcoming of the other side. Conservative listeners, being well informed, know when they're kidding and when they're being serious. Some others, sadly, are so serious and angry that they take everything at face value. You have to have a sense of humor, born out of self confidence, to understand some of what Limbaugh and Coulter say when they're poking fun at liberals. Talk radio is not for the weak minded.

It's definitely true of the rightwing talking heads. Look at the 2004 election when the Swift Pet Traitors openly lied about Kerry, and these blathering idiots all over the airwaves hooted and hollered and kissed those liars' butts.

I don't think Air-America is still on - they were bankrupt and corrupt. But, Yes, I do believe talk radio hosts believe what they say - and they enjoy airing their feelings and thoughts.

They tend to do everything in their power to convince you to vote for the conservative candidate which most likely turns out to be a Republican but I have heard them support a conservative Democrat from the south land.

Conservative talk show hosts all have one thing in common. They believe that if it is Republican it is right and if it is Democrat it is wrong. Period!!! But I have to admit they are good for some comic relief now and then if you can handle listening for a while.

Savage doesn't. About every third sentence is that some group needs to be locked up. It is entertaining on some level.
He's also said Bush is the worst president - but not as bad as any lib would have been.
