I suppose if you feel Barry Bonds legitamitly broke Hank Aarons record you might not agree with how Marc Ecko is going about deciding the balls fate.... but I do not so I voted to brand it! What did you vote or what would you vote if you haven't or do not plan to vote?

Yes, and I voted for the asterisk.

Some kid in the year 2112 will ask, why does that ball have an asterisk on it?

The only wrinkle with the "branding" is that the Baseball HOF doesn't have to accept, or display the ball.

Like you, I do not think the record is legitimate but branding the ball still allows it to go to Cooperstown. Like Barry Bonds, the ball does not belong in Cooperstown.

Frankly if I owned the ball I'd like the kids in the neighborhood play with it. It has no value except to the foolish guy who paid more than 700M just so he can say he's the owner.

The simple logic of reality. . .a conundrum for most, a sanctuary for some. Across a vast and unforgiving allotment of time there are few who can deal with the harsh climate of what is real and what is unreal. As we ponder the issue and try to solve the problem, the puzzle of life continues around us unabated. Then, when we least expect it. least need it, and least want it what should discover us but. . .the Bonds ball. In outer space.

Won't affect me in any way so it doesn't matter but if i did vote i would vote for the ball to go to the Hall Of Fame. When it's proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that he did what he's accused of or fails a MLB drug & steroid test then take the ball out the Hall.

Why would anyone want to see it destroyed? It's a piece of baseball history. No matter what you think about Bonds, it's still the record breaking ball.

If he does send it into orbit, I hope somehow he gets tangled in the rocket and is never seen again.

Looks like another, "he has too much money for his own good."

He's not even a baseball fan, what a jackass.

I voted branding it.

Gene H, are you a college professor? Because you go on and on and on and on about nothing.

They should destroy it. Barry Bonds should also be banned for life. It should be destroyed since Bonds cheated to get the record.
