i wouldnt do that if i were you, since when you're not in ur period, ur vagina is not lubricated, therefor inserting and/or removing a tampon will hurt the inside of it. wait until you're in ur periods to do so. in the meantime, why not just put a pad in ur purse and make sure you always have 1 at least on you. have a nice day!

no its actually dangerous to do so. keep pads in your purse. so this isnt an issue and practice at home on your next period

putting a tampon in when not bleeding will be very painful to go in and out . you will run the risk of infection because the dry tampon can tear you on the inside. never use a tampon when you arent bleeding. use a pad

well i got my period when i was at the movies one night and all i had was tampons in my purse and i had never used one before so i just tried it anyways. it wasnt hard all you do is kinda sit on the toilet and with your free hand make room for the tampon and just slowly stick it in there. its best to get the plastic applicators for the first time cus they go in a lot more easier. dont worry youll be fine.

Yeah, it's fine to do that.
Use a lubricant, like Vaseline on the tampon to make it slide in easier and start off with the smallest size tampon. Just don't leave it and you will have no problem.
Good luck :)

From my own painful personal experience, I do not recommend that. I did it when I was about 13 with a jumbo. It was awful, I couldn't put it entirely in and it hurt sitting down. UGH! Please do yourself the favor and just stick with pads for emergencies.

Tampons only work when you are on your period and even then if you don't' get the right absorbency it'll feel uncomfortable.
