Why do you think your parents gave you your middle name?

Because when you are in trouble it's more dramatic if they yell your first, middle, and last name.

My parents didn't name me, my grandmother did. She gave me my middle name because she couldn't think of anything else!

It's a variant of my dad's first name. They were thinking along the lines of keeping family names in the family.

It was a mistake on my mom's part, but a positive one. She thought she was honoring my father's uncle, but gave me his middle name of Ross instead of his last name, since everyone called him Ira Ross.

I'm glad she went with Ross, since my full name flows and everyone who's heard it says they like it.

I know the answer. My dad's name is Thomas, that's why. His dad's name was Jeffrey, which happens to be his middle name. My kid's not going to be "Chris" lol

i haven't got a middle name.where i came from they'll give you one name only, plus two more names given by the godparents plus the patriot saint's name.so altogether i've got 4 names but only the first one counts.

My dad wanted one name my mom wanted another so my dad's choice became my first name and my mom's choice became my middle name.
