Well I guess it proves when the government wants us all to think the same, and failing to develop the Jedi Mind trick, they'll just have to stick to teasers for now...

Ouch! Stop shocking me already!

I am disgusted and outraged. This is the rape of civil rights right before out very eyes and what if this student was not healthy / could not have withstood the taser ? His life was risked for a matter of five minutes.

I hope that he files charges against the policemen and that he continues his fight to get justice. I hope that this serves as an example to everyone around the world of the importance of freedom of speech rights. We must get rid of this patriot act and restore our freedomes and do not let government take them away from us for ANY reason ever again.

If this kid gets a website , I will contribute for his defense.

What's confusing is that we are so eager to disarm the police and arm those who are not (or even care) about the laws of the land. Police officers can be controlled because there low paycheck is on the line, but people who put their babies in ovens or drown their kids we cannot.

What's next?? Take away their clubs?? to leave them with themselves and a gun. The purpose of a taser is to make the individual immobile. He made the decision to resist and had to comply with police officers. He was resisting. When he broke away from the cops you see him run towards the center of the room. Why didn't they use pepper spray. They needed the individual to comply and pepper spray wouldn't of accomplished that objective.

This guy has a history of being an anarchist and rebelling against authority. So how do we not know this was staged and that he premeditated this course of action to prove a point. If the cops broke a procedure than prosecute them, if they didn't than the media and everyone else should get off their backs. They get paid much less those those fanatical, ratings-driven media reporters who are out to attend to their editors needs (opinion).

Its been proven that taser are generally safe to use. If you believe that if one person dies of a taser shock than we should get rid of tasers than you are wrong. Since when did we lose focus on personally responsibility. If he wanted to sue the cops for violating his freedom of speech he could of walked out than sued. If some one dies of a club hit from the cops should we get rid of clubs too. He didn't have FREEDOM OF SPEECH when the cops asked him to leave. At that point it is not a public forum for him to say what he wants because the cops took that away when he was asked to leave. Its the same thing as if i was asked into your house and refused to leave. You have to have order in a public forum. Did anyone hear about the two of the officers who were hurt. Where are you bleeeding "civil-rights" hearts for them? Its ok if cops get hurt but as long as we don't hurt the criminal. The kid has a website and it is where he holds ideas for his next actions to stir up dumb people everywhere. He plans actions like these and people who enable him to are just as guilty. Everyone who opposes this look up what social contract is on wikipedia.

I think that that is the wrong question. I think a more appropriate question would be, why was a person denied the right to question a publicly elected official. Yes, there were some outlandish questions, but that dose not mean they should not have been asked. Or more appropriately, he should have the right to ask them and not be drug of by officers of the government he is questioning

I watched the video. he was not tasered for asking inappropriate questions. He was tasered for acting like an @sshole and resisting arrest. I thought they should have beaten the living $hit out of him.

It's all a matter of perspective, I guess. If I were running for president, and someone sent me a Youtube video of a snowman asking about Global Warming, I think I'd want the creator hunted down and tased.

It made me sick to my stomach to watch that. Those cops have already been suspended. If there is any justice in the world, they will be standing in the unemployment line soon enough.

I think it is ridiculous and that the police went too far...one more time. In my opinion I think tasers should be banned. I don't think officers have the proper training to use them and I think that even if they did most are so fed up and stressed out in their jobs that they use them when not needed.

I think it was ridiculous! I thought that we had a freedom of speech in the USA...but it brings it to question when sh** like that happens. I hope, that whatever happens, people realize that the government lets us have our freedoms, when they think it is right. Our whole system needs some improvement!
