I'm 19 weeks and on Thurs I'm having my ultrasound to find out what I'm having. Will I definantly find out that day and what are my chances? I'm so excited and I really really REALLY want to know.

I know how you feel, I go in Friday! I think they usually can find out, but sometimes the baby is shy. Lets hope we both have babies that will show us the goods!

Depends on the hospital policies, they wouldnt tell me at my 20 weeks scan :( and I really wanted to know! Also the baby may be in an awkward position so that they cant tell even if they are willing to tell you.
I had a 4d scan at around 28 weeks and they include sexing in the price so we found out eventually, plus it was nice to see her again! After your 20 weeks scan, if all is ok with baby that could be the last time you see it until its born!

Its not as expensive as you might think and also you get photos and a dvd to keep! I got my Mum to pay for it lol, and let her come along, it was a good bonding experience.

It's hard to say that you will definitely find out what you're having. Sometimes the baby isn't positioned in a way that gives you a clear view. There's a good chance, I was 18 weeks when we found out, but you really don't know until you get in there. =) Good luck.

You will probably be able to find out the sex. But no one will be able to say you definitely will. At 20 weeks, the sonographer should be able to tell the sex, but if the baby isn't in the right position for them to see the genitals, then you may not get to. But your chances of finding out are good.

Unfortunately there are no guarantees. With my first child, I went in and wanted to know what I was having and they could not tell on the ultra sound, because of the position the baby was in. So chances are they can tell you but don't be disappointed if they can't

if baby cooperates, they chaces r god, cause u can find out the sex of the baby much earlier than that (i found out at 16 weeks). but sometimes u can be 33 weeks and the baby always squirms and turns and u may never know.

you might, if the baby is in the right position. sometimes they dont open their legs or they will just give you butt shots lol. I was lucky though, my lil booger opened his legs for us no problem... and in the beginning his legs were crossed at the ankles. We got a good look at his peepee though and he is definately a boy. I hope you get to find out what you are having. :) Its so neat. :)

I found out at 18.5 weeks, so as long as baby doesn't cross legs or whatever, you should be able to find out when you have your ultrasound!

Good luck ! My friend found out the sex of her baby around 4 months ... so you should be able to know by then.

depends on how your baby is sitting...My baby was sitting with her legs crossed it took 3 more ultrasounds before I could find out..Drink some orange juice before u go.
