I dont have any sympathy for black athletes (or anyone associated with sports for that matter) trying to play any sort of race card with the media in todays game. It just is not an issue. Owners put up the best team they possibly can for the money they are willing to spend, no matter what race the players might be. To do otherwise is a failure in your business and it will show on your record (and thus attendance and revenue). Fans dont stop cheering for you because you are a certain race, they stop cheering you because you suck or play crappy for a game or two. They are cheering the team, not the race of the individual players
Tossing the race card out there in todays sports world does exactly one thing, stirs the pot. Thats it. Noone with a half-way functional brain actually thinks the way they think people do.

I agree!!
I used to be an Eagles fan well up until ohhhhh this morning when I woke up and saw they had been beaten by the Redskins. I thought last week against Green Bay might have been a fluke but th only player on the Eagles thats decent is Westbrook. Hes a versatile player who can run and receive.
Mcnabb is a big crybaby, he was all ready for the season a couple of weeks ago talking how they were gonna do good.
He cant pass like he used to at all, even freakin rookies on the other teams are hitting 250 to 300 yards passing and 3 touchdowns a game.
Its always good when they are winning, but losing changes the story.
I love how its always about race in every instance when things get tough. Poor Baby hes got it rough because hes black wahhh wahhhh if its so tough then I'll take his $5 to $210 million a year hes getting to throw a ball not to mention Campbell's soup endorsement money.
Cry me a river Donovan and then try to at least go 5 and 11 this year.

I dunno, not being an NFL QB, but I would think in this day and age that the scrutiny any QB faces would have little or nothing to do with race and primarily performance... maybe like 10 or 15 ago, but not now. This is the NFL where if ya don't win they kick you out, pain & simple. Donovan's just pissed cuz he can't win the big games. I mean how much scrutiny can he really be facing? Philly fans love him and everyone gives him a pass because he's been banged up so many seasons. He still makes plays with his arm and no one expects him to make plays with his feet since he's getting up there and when he does they're all blown away like, "wow, McNabb's still got it!". He's just trying to place the blame elsewhere. All the Eagles need to eat some chunky soup, sit down, and get ready to enjoy postseason @ home with their families; i mean 20-12 to the Skins in week 2, no TDs, c'mon.

McNaab is being a crybaby....he suggested Manning and Palmer as examples if they were doing bad. Well hey, I have a news flash for you. They don't have low QB ratings and pass for over 60% completion. Look at the stats, they tell the story. Nothing about race. Face the facts...I agree with the other poster about Moss and TO. I don't care for them either, but what is different in these other cities they are playing in now? I'm beginning to wonder about McNaab.
Randal Cunningham..another GREAT QB who happens to be black.

I think black QB's face more scrutiny because there is more to scrutinize. McNabb is playing like trash and being treated like it. He would've faced a lot more trash if Rush Limbaugh wouldn't have been fired for playing the race card before. Name two great black QB's (Warren Moon is one) name another.
This isn't racist, BTW - I could say the same for white wide receivers. Just not any good ones at the position. I couldn't name 2 recent ones.

www.nfl.com says McNabb's QB's rating is 68.8. the guy makes $100 million a year and is now and always has been a GOOD QB, never a great QB. when you make the big $$$ you ought to do better than your replacements, but, check the numbers: McNabb is .681 lifetime win-loss record & his replacements are .631.

There's no racial issue with black QB's. Donovan's just upset he lost to the Skins. He also doesn't want to blame his terrible WR's so he made up the racial crap. Eagles fans don't boo him because he's black; it's because Eagles fans want to win and Donovan isn't doing that.

I agree. It's sad that because of Mcnabb's comments, Rush Lymbaugh is looking good.
Donovan is scared he is about to lose is job to Kolb.

....Every QB faces alot of scrutiny......McNabb must not remember how much Peyton was scrutnized before he won the superbowl......a ton.....He was called anything from the choke artist to the next Dan Marino........IF things are going great you are a king with the media if they are not you are the one thats getting blamed.....Its not just him every QB in the league deals with that kind of pressure..........Look at how much scrunity Rex Grossman has taken........If people think you aren't performing to a certain level you are going to get picked on.......its just the game..

First he was blaming losing the Superbowl to the Patriots cheating, now he's playing the race card...He just sucks, but when all else fails, play the race card
