What about the ones that have sex changes? Or, in a larger context how about the theory of reincarnation in which we are born in either sex?

How can anyone judge anyone for anything then? Based on this argument, a court judge could not judge a murderer because the judge had never been a criminal before. Of course, that is simply not the case. Experience in an area is not a prerequisite for judgment. In fact, often it is EASIER to judge someone for something when you are NOT in their place. In some instances it makes it easier to be objective. Also, judgment is not a concrete, static phenomenon. There are many different types. A man can easily judge a woman, but of course it will be a judgment from a male point of view. It will be different than a judgment from a woman's pov, but different is not necessarily a bad thing. It depends on the individual's personal ability to distinguish between right and wrong and truth and opinion. It ultimately has little to do with gender.

It's tough, but there has to be some rules that apply uniformly to both. For example, I think most people would agree that a teacher getting involved in a sexual relationship with a student is wrong, yet somehow the men get hammered while women get a slap on the wrist. How is that fair? I also believe most people would agree that it's wrong to kill someone, but again, female murderers get lighter sentences than their male counterparts. Then you have issues like abortion that affect women to a much greater degree than they affect men -- I have a real problem on this issue because I'm not a woman and it doesn't really affect me either way, but you still have people advocating very hard for and against it. Should the issue of abortion be left entirely to the discretion of the woman? I don't have an answer for that.

I think Mr. Taco said it best. If I'm a murderer how can you judge me if you'll never be one? If I'm a psychologist how can you judge me if you'll never be one? The same goes for everything else. How you can you judge people with the name Stephanie if your name is Annie? People can judge even if they'll never be in the position that the other person is in. I think what you might have meant to say was 'how can people accurately judge others when they will never be in the same position as another'?

'Cause people can judge people. Individual differences are by far more significant than any definable gender differences, so by your logic it should be more difficult for you as an individual to judge anyone else than it would be for men as a class to judge women.

Even with sex changes, you are not 100% man or woman. I don't think anybody should judge anybody because you don't know what they are really like. So I agree with you.
