if someone is seriously abusive i just think, 'hey, that's their problem not mine'...if they are jokingly abusive i think it's funny...don't think i would report anyone...after all, everyone on this site is laying themselves wide open to all sorts of responses, that's what makes it interesting.....

If i can help people by finding out information for them i will do my best to just do that... but when bored it is real funny to have a laugh, some people take offence but im 99.9% sure that it will cheer up a lot of other people who are going thourgh troubled times.. and i have never pushed the report button and only would if it was an extra bad bad thing...

Hmmm... my answer is kinda in your question.
If it's something funny, I usually have a chuckle and move on.
If it's silly humour that I don't find funny, I just click to something else.
If it's abusive I'd consider hitting the report button, tho haven't done so yet.
There's a difference between a funny comment, an insult and a personal attack.
For me, life is too short to get upset by nonsense, and too short to put up with attacks from others.

there is a difference between a funny comment on a question and abuse. I enjoy a good laugh, in fact, I have read some questions here that just beg for a funny comeback instead of a good answer. I admit to giving funny replies a few times myself. (although I'm trying to be good now). But insults etc, just don't belong here, in my opinion. If a question is in violation of the guidelines, everyone should report it. But to just report a question because you don't like the person asking it, or the subject matter, is wrong.
Hope this helps answer your question

It totally depends on the situation... if people post stupid questions they can expect stupid answers... but if people are worried about something and go on here looking for help then it's not fair to be mean!
example: "I bet you can't name all the house mates of BB8" - A stupid thing to post really... nobody gains anything!
example: (this happened to me!) I think I might be underweight, I'm tired and these are my measurements, do you think I need to seek medical help or do you think I will pad out as I get older - you're self obsessed try helping other people rather than staring at yourself in the mirror all day! *bit of a grudge!*
Yeh there's always a funny side unless it's a serious matter!!

It depends what people say, people on here pass judgement A LOT though, especially in the religion section and the pregnancy section. I have never really been subjected to abuse and comments that have been made have been really juvenile and based upon nothing. I have however seen people write really cruel and heartless things to other and its a shame really but I try to stay out of brawls!

It doesn't happen that often thankfully, when it does i just think the abuser must be a cretin for not using a better arguement and choosing to abuse instead.
It's the idiots way out.
