intuition is a supposedly sixth sense that we all have, to greater or lesser degrees, that tell us what to think about things. it is your 'gut feeling', your 'instinct' about something. yes, i almost always believe mine. and it is almost always right, whether i believe it or not at the time.

If intuition was right all the time I would be rich of course.

Can we confine intuition to that realm confined by logic and reason? So that after applying logic and reason there is some uncertainty and in this uncertainty is where we apply our intuition.

Another definition would be an irrational intuition that is supported only by its prediction of some natural behavior correctly.

A third intuition may be that you know something but this knowledge is not in the front of your mind. Some people could arguably keep a lot of knowledge this way and use this intuition extensively.

In the first definition you are guilt free and it is harmless so there is no reason not to seek all the way to that place where we can apply our intuition bounded by our best reason.

Ultimately, I believe that intuition is always right. However, sometimes our own ulterior motives and desires might masquerade as intuition. Or we might interpret our intuition in a manner that serves our own self-interest instead of serving the root of the intuition. So while intuition is always right, its not always easy for people to determine what their true intuition is. You have to be pretty good at quieting your mind.

Also, intuitions are not always explicit and well defined. I believe they more resemble "feelings" than thoughts. So they typically lead us to interpretation, which makes confusing them with our desires all the much more probable.

When trying to identify how to serve my intutions, I often think about something I have read in the Tao Te Ching. When reading the quote, think of your intuition as the water and mud as your self-serving thoughts and desires. I think its important not to act ("move") until the mud settles and the water is clear. Then the correct action becomes self-evident.

Excerpted from Chapter 15:

Do you have the patience to wait
till your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
till the right action arises by itself?

intuition is a sense of knowing something without having concrete facts. It is knowing without knowing: that gut instinct that leads us to behave in ways that are usually right for us.

My personal theory is that our subconscious picks up on little cues in the environment (i.e. someone else's behavior) and can assess most situations before our conscious minds can figure out what is going on. We get a sense of what is occurring without really knowing how we know.

Over the years, I've learned to listen to intuition. If I don't, I usually end up paying for it big time.

Hope this helps.

I am open minded and willing to explore the truth, in fact being stuck to ages old assumption is the biggest obstacle in your way to truth, well sorry as i have not watched the whole video, but i do believe in the existence of tenth planet called '2003UB313' i don't know wot's the point to disagree with this, but yes there was some confusion abt naming an astronomical object as a planet or not, even pluto was put outside the family of planets, but as much as i know nibiru is bigger than pluto so might be considered as a planet, but the point is what is the real definition of a planet, even if we construct a well defined criteria for a planet based on it's mass and distance from sun, we can not find the real difference between a planet and an asteroid because all the classification is based on our convenience, we have a habit to put the things in a pre decided category and when we get something to denying this fact we get obsessed and put the questions on it's existence,, bless you

Not always, but sometimes! It depends on what you do with that information. Intuition is: Understanding without apparent effort, quick and ready insight. Seemingly independent of previous experiences or Empirical Knowledge. I looked it up.

in.tu.ition\ intu`ishen: quick and ready insight
(Webster's new Dictionary of the English language)
I do not believe we are ALWAYS right with our intuition, but as one experiences many similar situations, often the result will be the same, and one could argue we are drawing from our experience as well as our 'gut feeling'

Hunches or awarenesses that are clues that come from prior knowledge. Whether you trust the source or not is entirely a matter of self perception which is closely related to deception. Seek wisdom and understanding. They will reveal themselves when you seek them sincerely.
