Can you sue them? The married enjoy dating too

I sure hope so, and they better stop. Who wants the hassle of dating a single woman? Married women don't care what kind of car you drive or how much money you make. All they want is fresh meat. Oh hell yeah.

No you can not sue them.
If the married enjoy dating then they should be divorced. My opinion and many others as well.
If you are in an open marriage make sure the ones you mess with are as well, use a condom so no STD's go back to the partners being cheated on.
Go to a swingers site or one that caters to people like you.
I guess I should have stopped with my opinion when I answered your question in the first line.

Of course it is discrimination. However, the question, is it illegal discrimination. I would bet not. Yahoo Personals has to protect its customers from fraud. If a married person came on and pretended to be single then the people that person contacted would be lied to. They are paying money to try to find someone. If they get married people then they are not getting what Yahoo Personals said they could get.

I highly doubt that you can build a case here. There have been other dating sites that refuse to cater to certain groups and they have never been sued. I don't think that you can find a law that says that Yahoo can't discriminate against the married while operating their personal ads.

You ever hear the phrase, "The management reserves the right to deny service to anyone for any reason...."

This my friend - is YOU !!!

Besides - unless you are stating in your profile that you are "married" and are just looking to date in an open relationship, or have some on the side, or just looking for friends / etc..... Then YOU are falsifying your profile and thus have violated the rules and conditions of the YP terms of use. So yes - they can kick you off for that.

Remerber - its THEIR playground - you must play by their rules or go find another chat room / dating site.

first of all what is yehoo personals? and second of all i am sure that they clearly state there rules when you sign up with them and it is your responsibility to read those rules.

There is always the fine print involved in this sort of thing i doubt you will ever get a lawyer that would represent you as these companies go to extreme measures to make sure they do not get sued....ie: fine print

All i can say is read the rules and policies for any chat room or forum before signing up with them

I think that when you click Yes to the user agreement, there must be something in there about promising that you're single and if you lie, they certainly can kick you off.

I think YP is really trying to clear up their image as a community full of married men and STD carriers.

In that case, you're in their kingdom. It's up to the king. Discrimination is common in every kingdom.

Maybe kingdom is synonymic to condom, ha! ha! ha!
