He has been under tremendous pressure due to wanted and unwanted criticism by the media and public and each and every ddecision of his was subject to criticism. It appears he has been waiting for an opportunity to quite when going is good and he got such an opportunity after the series win againjst England in tests. If he would have continjued and if India do not perform well against Australia and Pakistan he would have been even sacked from captaincy. he, therefore, took a correct decision at the most appropriate time.
