on AIRFARE, HOTELS, and shows? None of us are big gamblers but like to party and have fun. What are your suggestions? I've never planned a trip before and never been to LV.

I have been to Vegas 4 times -- just to PARTY (lol), and I an also NOT a gambler! First, no matter what hotel you choose, BOOK through either www.hotwire.com --- OR --- www.travelocity.com. These (2) websites have the best deals.... and ALWAYS book your Flight AND your Hotel TOGETHER -- it is always cheaper.... : )

If you want a good deal on a NICE hotel, I recommend:
1.) The (new) Planet Hollywood (formerly The Alladin). I stayed there last summer w. my boyfriend. We booked a "regular" room, but simply by asking at check-in, we got bumped up to the "penthouse suite" (for FREE - all you have to do is ASK to be upgraded). It was BIGGER than his apartment, including a HUGE whirlpool tub, that OVERLOOKS the city! The suite had ceiling to floor WINDOWS, a huge flat-screen plasma tv, etc... You can PARTY in a room like this. Other bonus: it is centrally located, so you can walk to other cool hotels! Bottom line for The Planet Hollywood..... NICE rooms at a GREAT price! Since this hotel was taken over, it has been NEWLY remodeled/refurbished.... Here is the website:
http://www.planethollywood.com/...

2.) Stay on THE STRIP.... if you stay off-strip, you will be too far away from the "night life" and it is also unsafe. Stay on the STRIP...

3.) Some of the best located, party hotels on strip are: MGM Grand (great bars) and it is also in walking distance to others.... The Mirage, and New York, New York may be pricier, but also nice...The Luxor is also nice, but located at the "end"...

4.) Another GREAT deal on a BEAUTIFUL hotel is The Golden Nugget..... (BUT this is located on Fremont St., "downtown")... This is a really NICE, 4-star hotel, located in a really UNIQUE part of Vegas.... the Fremont St. experience is pretty neat, too.... a TON of BARS, good nightlife, and a great place to stay.... Website:
http://www.goldennugget.com/home/accommo...

Also worth mentioning...
5.) The MGM is really nice hotel, too! They have beautiful new modern rooms too.... The hotel also has a great location, great dining (Wolfgang Puck), and a live tiger/lion exhibit right INSIDE the hotel... Website:
http://www.mgmgrand.com/accommodations/...

6.) Lastly, if you want to drink for "free" (because drinks are EXPENSIVE, up to $20-25 for one drink!)... here is a tip: Play the slot machines (slowly), and as long as you are sitting there and "playing", you can drink for FREE all night long! This also applies to the "video poker" bars!!! The Luxor vid. poker bar even serves TOP shelf alcohol -- nice! : )

BOTTOM LINE: Book your ROOM and AIR together on either Hotwire (www.hotwire.com) OR Travelocity (www.travelocity.com) for the best deals......
Good luck!!! : )

The best deals for both air and hotels are usually with the airlines themselves. I would try Southwest Vacations or US Airways Vacations. Tthese are usally the cheapest packaged deals. You can do everything on one site; including buying transportation to the hotels from the airport in one package. They are pretty easy to navigate and will show you the cost breakdown for different hotels and dates. I have used both of these specifically for travel to LV. Compare the prices on Vegas.com(which uses US Airways/America West) or any of the big sites and you will see the difference.

Good luck and have fun in Vegas!

If you want a good site to review opionions about the various hotels, try http://www.lasvegasadvisor.com/reference

OK, first of all, she doesn't have to ASK to do anything with you. Get that through your head before you go any further with your rant. And I don't care how much you Effing love her, friends always come first in a relationship, especially if it's one she's trying to repair. Respect that and give her some space. Next, she didn't DITCH you - she let you know ahead of time that she wasn't going to hang out with you today. It's not DITCHING if she had enough respect for YOU to call and say "Hey, something's come up, I'm sorry, DEAL!!" She probably DOES hate people who break promises, but can you whole heartedly tell me that the two of you PROMISED each other that from now on you would always hang out on sundays, that it would be only YOUR day?? If there are some prior problems existing between you two, you need to straighten them out, or just get the hell out - because if you're bothered by a girlfriend who goes to see a friend? Then buddy, I wouldn't want to see you if I were her, and I'm sorry if that's harsh, but it's true. You obviously feel guilty if you sent flowers - TALK TO HER, if she doesn't want to talk, SHE DOESN'T WANT TO TALK!! You're sick if you want her to come BEGGING to you. Suck it up, and when she's ready to TALK, she'll TALK!

http://www.vegas.com/ is the biggest local web site on Hotel, Shows and other events in Las Vegas.

You can see reviews of each hotel and show on that site along with booking rooms. They have package deals offered there by the local hotels also.
