Unfortunately the damage that bush and cheney have caused is beyond repairs for some time to come.

World has already had some issues with America due to its unjust foreign policies for decades.
Specially, those nations in which have been imposed upon for natural sources and basically, plain domination!
I also agree with a response above me that, Israels influence on this country has been another huge problem for America.

Then, here comes bush and his gang capitalizing on those areas in the extreme ways possible!
I mean, thousands of innocent people have perished for his stupidity and macho, cowboy crap policies!!

In addition, lies, corruptions and god knows what, are added to his disastrous presidency!

Ive been fortunate to travel to few countries across the world and Europe, and i tell you, people know and remember more than you can assume and hate bush's guts and what he's done to the world and its security.

They believe, world is much in greater danger than ever and bush has caused it. And I'm agreed on that.

Lets hope, the next president will do the right thing. PEACE.

We still do.There will always be countries or people who hate America but we,the ones that love America, realize not everyone voted for Bush. Most of us have elections too.We know how it works. Can't always turn out perfect.I for one still love America and don't resent the American people for all aspects of the policies of their government or hold them responsible.
Bush, fox news, all the wacky talk radio hosts are American and that could seriously damage the image the world community has about your country if it wasn't for popular culture.
It speaks volumes about your country and what it stands for that besides having those reactionary right wingers who to us are just as scary or even more so than the Iranian guy's(sorry you have more WMD's and more power in general) it's also home of Michael Moore,Stephen Colbert, the Daily show The Simpsons,Souhtpark,Rage against the machine,Nirvana,Eminem,Tupac just to name a few.

It's popular culture and more precisely the way Americans themselves critisize and confront the things that aren't good about America within those movie's,TV shows and music that makes us love America even after you reelected Bush.

That's a very big influence but I think it's true.I think world opinion would be much worse about America after all that happened if we didn't see Americans themselves adressing those issue's and doing so in an intelligent and often entertaining way.

By becoming a beacon of Capitalistic light, and quit meddling in every foreign affair. America is the most charitable nation on earth, and the socialist countries want more.

We need to become the example of a thriving economy based on true freedoms (property, low taxes, small govt).

It's going to be a very long hard road ahead to even get basic respect, but I'm sure we can do it after '08.

Don't worry, the rest of the world knows the American electorate got shafted back in '04, and it's not our fault.

When was the last time the world loved America? After World War II do you suppose Germany loved us? How about Japan? Maybe Russia, you think? How about in the Middle East?, No? How about China? Mexico? Cuba? Not in my lifetime.

Even when we gave them money to rebuild their countries most Europeans ended up resenting us. Many, many countries have always been jealous of our liberty, wealth and power. Rare, indeed, is the country that ever "loved" America. We are who we are, the greatest country on earth with the greatest wealth and freedom. That does not sit well with countries that have been around far longer than we have.

Of course if they are in peril, then they love the heck out of us. You won't see too many boxes of candy or Valentines' Day cards outside of that.

We need to completely reform our government. We need to reenforce the ABM treaty that we had signed with Russia, and defuse the growing tensions with them that are a complete waste of time to have to started in the first place. No nation with the ability to build nuclear ICBM's is going to launch them against us. We need to start working on global warming and stop putting our heads in the sand. We need to pull out of Iraq pronto.

That would be a good start.

We need to care more about the people of the world who need help, and less about the cost of barrels of crude, defense contracts and our other political agendas on the global scale.

In short, The US needs to act more like Ghandi and less like Trump.

The whole world used to love us always before Bush? USSR, China, India (of and on), Pakistan (off and on), Africa, eastern Europe, Latin America (when they spit on Nixon in 1959), Puerto Rico. Going back further.. Germany, Japan, and Italy in 1943. Iran -- sure, the Shah loved us (want to get that back?).
