Hi there. I have been told at GYN appointments that I have a "tilted uterus". I know many women have this. Thing is, I am now 5 1/2 months pregnant, and I was just wondering... does anyone else have a tilted ulterus and did it present any problem with any of your pregnancies? Thanks!

I'm 19 weeks pregnant and also have a tilted uterus. My doctor said it shouldn't present any problems to the pregnancy or labor. The weight of the baby should eventually make my uterus tilt in the position it's supposed to be in.

I have a tilted uterus, and have had a successful pregnancy and birth with no complications related to my uterus being tilted.
In most cases, the uterus normals out and everything as pregnancy progresses, due to the weight and size of the baby. My son was a small baby, 5 lbs 6 oz and he was big enough to help my uterus straighten out through the pregnancy.

Good luck and congrats!

I was told that I have a tilted uterus and with my last pregnancy, it only caused problems at the beginning as the doctor found it hard to find my baby at the ultrasound - but no medical problems, that was just a minor problem. I have a healthy little boy who is 6 and never had any problems in my pregnancy. I'm pregnant now -17 weeks and there have been no problems.
It's nothing to worry about!!
Good luck with your pregnancy!
xx

Mine is tilted too... The doctor said it's normal... I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and he said everything was fine... I had an ultrasound done and he found the baby really quick... So I guess as you progress in the pregnancy it just properly adjusts to your body the way it should... I don't see why there should be a problem... This is my first pregnancy and I'm sooooo excited... Keep a positive mentality... If there were any complications your doctor would have alerted you already... Good Luck...

I'm 38 weeks pregnant. My ob/gyn said that It won't pose any problems other that having more back labor during labor because it's tilted to where the baby will come out pointed some towards my back but nothing during my pregnancy. And it was harder for me to get pregnant. But that doesn't matter now. I hope this helps. I'm being induced on Friday-yay.

I have a tilted uterus, and the only complication that could possibly be linked to that is that my son has plagiocephaly (flat head) since delivery. His head was basically kept in one position for the last several weeks of my pregnancy and my doctor believes this is what caused his flat spot. With proper care (rotating sides of the crib and encouraging him to not lay on the flat spot) it actually basically corrected itself. The chances of this are low though. Good luck, I am sure everything will be just fine!!!

I have a tipped/tilted uterus too - towards the back. I am 39 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and the only probs I have had with this one and my daughter is a bit of back pain and back labour. Not too big a deal though because my menstrual cramps always hit me in the back too as a result. I've never heard of any complications because of this. Good luck!
