Ok so my mom and some other relatives are giving me a baby shower this weekend.
Iv only got 4 days to wait but I just can't!
Ill give the best answer to the one who can make me smile the most with your best baby shower story, experience, game or anything!
I'm so excited, I haven't seen my mom in about 2 years!
Help me get 'pumped up' and tell me what was the best thing at your baby shower or one you have been to!

I love children's books, so for my baby shower, my friends had everyone bring a book for the baby instead of a card and put a special message in it for the baby. Also, when I got there, the whole house was decorated in children's books. Another thing that they did, that I really liked was had everyone there fill out these little questionaires about how they knew me, their hopes and dreams for the baby and fun stuff like that. I really loved those, I even like to look back at them now and read everyone's answers.

Mine is on Saturday and my mom is throwing it too..When I was a kid I remember the game about not crossing your legs. And if you do you get to take their safety pin and at the end of the day who ever had the most got a prize I was watching everyones legs that day..Plus on that when you walking you get a diaper pin and who ever got the "dirty" diaper got a prize. Another one is they fill a baby bottle with jelly beans and have everyone guess how many is in there the person who come close gets the bottle. The best one is everyone guess how many inches the belly is and then they measure the prego lady and the person who come close wins a prize.
My mom is doing a onsize thing where everyone is getting a onsize and get to decorate it for the baby to wear. I can't wait until Saturday ..Congrats!!!!

I had the best baby shower for my 1st! My sister came from out of state and planned the whole thing ~ I hadn't seen her in about a year. It was so much fun to have all my friends and family together. I was very surprised at the turnout and how generous everyone was ~ there was a virtual sea of gifts!
The second best thing was I had Gestational Diabetes and I got to cheat for a day and eat a great big piece of chocolate cake!

I had my second baby shower this past Sunday and my mom was opening my gifts and looking at them then putting them back in the bag before handing them to me. The funny part is I didn't notice until I was almost through and I kept wondering what everyone was laughing at!! Oh yeah and I had been craving cake icing for like 2 weeks and I ate everone elses extra icing! Just have fun and know that no matter what you get, Its something you don't have to buy. I had more fun spending time with family and friends than actually opening gifts.

Well, the coolest thing that ever happened at a baby shower I went to was for my Aunt. My mom was throwing the shower for her a few weeks before the baby was due. So, the morning of the baby shower, we all went to set up at the house it was going to be at. It was going to be a gorgeous shower! They were having a fancy brunch and a ton of people were expected.
The guests arrived, but my Aunt never showed up. Soon, we got a phone call from my uncle saying that my Aunt was actually in labor at the hospital. Everyone decided to stay at the party to wait for any news of the baby.
A couple hours later, my grandparents brought over a video tape. Everyone who was still hanging out gathered around the television to watch the video.
When the video was played, it showed my aunt sitting in her hospital bed holding her new son. Via video, she introduced everyone to the baby and thanked them for coming to the shower.
She never made it to her "baby shower," but she did get to keep the gifts!

I'm having a girl and everything was pink. They even decorated a chair for me with a pink patterned bedsheet and pink streamers all over it. Really, the best part was just having all my friends and family together at one time, and going around listening to all the funny stories that the moms at the party were telling.

my sister had a baby shower for her daughter and for a game she got the smallest diapers and put melted chocolate in one and gave everyone a diaper and the one that got the chocolate got the gift you buy for that game but tell them not to open till you hand out all the diapers i was the one that won it was something my sister put together with all bathroom lotions shower ball shampoos cond. and more it was nice if you get a baby book have everyone sign it at the babyshower

When I threw my sister her baby shower I had this game set up where you put different types of food in diapers and pass them around and have the guests try and figure out what is in it! like I used vanilla, mustard, pudding, chocolate bar melted, baby food jars... Have fun and congrats!
