Personally I have never voted for the Black leader election. It must be on Feburary 29. Mr. Alvin Sharpton and Mr. Jesse Jackson are two Black americans, that the media likes to talk to the most. Are they self appointed or are they creations of talk radio? Who deemed these to be Black leaders of America. Why are they always talking on Cable new shows. Then it got me thinking. Is Bill O'Reilly a White leader, or is Rush and Sean Hannity? Are there any White leaders?

From reading people question brings up another good point. White people would never accept a person who has the audacity to believe that the speak for the entire white community. Why would Black people. For the last time, Not All Black people think the same. Why would any media outlet speak to two individuals, and believe that they speak for millions of individuals. Unless those same media outlets believe that they do which is even a bigger problem.

Excellant point! We continuously hear about how the "black vote", teh "womens' vote" or even the "gay vote" is going to swing. It always makes me laugh. I have never seen any of these groups vote in blocks and I never will. An outsider could easily hear this and come away with the impression that white males are the only segment of our society that votes as individuals.

As for your last question, I have heard Bill, Rush and Sean for several years now and I honestly don't know what they are. Leaders? Nope. They're something but I don't know what.

They are self appointed, but black people won't stand up and kick them out or go against them. They even reelected Marion Berry after he was arrested and caught on film doing coke. Jackson use to hang with Martin Luther King that's why he is considered a black leader, but he turned out to be a shake down artists to corporations and they pay him off to stop boycotts of their company, that's how he makes his money. They are two low life's in sheep's clothing. I have heard other black leaders talk against them but I can't think of their names very nice men and they know what their black community needs, Jackson and Sharpton do nothing except play the race card when ever they get the chance, they know they can make the bucks that way. And no their are no white leaders, whites weren't repressed like the blacks were in the south, in the south they could not go to white schools or into white restaurants, that's why Martin Luther King was fighting for his people and lead them to victory to integrate into American society. P.S. Sharpton made a name for himself through Twanny Brawley incident.

There should not be leaders for any race or skin color. We are all humans, and in the USA we are all Americans. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are leaders of fools. Blacks in the U.S. should be taught to identify themselves with their neighbors as Americans -not as a separate group of people called African Americans. This mentality sets them back and isolates them for no real reason other than the color of their skin. Dr Martin Luther King dedicated his life to helping us break away from this type of mentality. Why insult him in death by separating Americans by color of skin here in the 21st century?

Let's start with the vast majority of CEO's of corporations. Then let's look at the vast majority of elected officials throughout the nation. Finally, let's look at the majority of those celebrities. If you don't consider all these white people leaders, then your definition of what a leader is is clearly too narrow to be relevant.

No, there are no "white leaders". I guess CNN and the other media believe whites can lead for themselves, as individuals.
