My quarter spent studying in Ecuador in college. Plenty of excitement and a bit of danger here and there... fun fun fun! I always get nostalgic for those three months.

Being the Inflight Manager of a crew when our 747 lost two engines, one on fire and returning to land in Auckland New Zealand on a foamed runway complete with the fire & emergency brigade. The next day we all took over First Class as we passed the plane crippled at the airport and flew back to Hawaii.

Being a youth leader at my church- still on the journey so far I have had two black eyes and an almost broken eye socket, I have been kicked out of my bed to the floor so 3 youth groupers could sleep on it, near death in vehicles on numerous trips, broken nails, chipped tooth, more crying girls and truth or dare then I care to mention and of course teenage boys and all of their hangups....it is a lot of fun though..especially since I am their favorite youth leader:)

In 8th grade I lived in Colorado and 4 teachers from my middle school took me and 19 other kids on a camping trip in the Rocky Mountains in the middle of February! We were all hiking around one day and we decided to walk across this fallen tree that was kind of a natural bridge over the rapids in the river and when the last girl was coming across, the tree started to snap in the middle! She started to panic and froze on all fours right where she was and wouldn't come across, and the tree kept snapping more and more, and she wouldn't come across, so we all had to form a human chain out to the middle and put even more weight on the tree to get her across! It was terrifying.

when i decided a few years back that i was going to train to be a whitewater rafting guide...turns out i'm not really as good a swimmer as i thought i was (and i found this out when our raft flipped in a class 5+ rapid...which is the highest classification a commercial company can run, just for reference)...so yeah, exciting, dangerous, and pretty stupid to boot!
