In a book? Currently I am really fond of Odd Thomas from the Dean Koontz books (there are currently 3 about him). Mainly because he is a good person that looks for no thanks; he, in fact shuns it. He wants to help people and it hurts him terribly if he fails to. He loves everyone and people love him too.

Don Quixote. He is the ultimate literary hero - written to perfection. Who can resist a hero who is so dedicated to what he believes in? Don Quixote taught me to be a chaser of windmills and seeker of impossible dreams when I first read it at a very young age. Every time I read it again, I learn more from him. He is truly inspiring. PS - Ya Ya - that is a great analysis of Odd Thomas. Well done. In a lot of ways, I think Dean Koontz modeled Odd Thomas after Trixie his dog that just died. On his website, he refers to Trixie as "beauty without vanity". That is Odd, too.

I like Aragon in Lord of th Rings, Eragon in Eragon and Eldest, and Van Helsing in Dracula. Aragorn's the reluctant hero, as is Eragon, and Van Helsing's just awesome (intelligent, too).

Aragorn from Lord of the Rings. He was at first a reluctant hero that rose to become beyond heroic and a King in his homeland that he protected.

^^^ Don't listen to her. If you haven't read the Twilight series, then read them and you will see that Edward is a lot better.

Well, my hero in a book is, well, probably Seabiscuit. Don't make fun of me, Seabiscuit is awesome.

(CCC, I'm just messing with your head.)
