One number is the reciprocal of another if their product is 1. The reciprocal of a fraction is obtained by interchanging the numerator and the denominator, i.e. by inverting the fraction. So the answers are 1 divided by ten or 1/10. 3/2, 5/4, and 2/1 or 2

For almost any number you give me, I can give you another number that when your multiply your number by mine you get 1. These two numbers are called "reciprocals."

So, i you give me 5, I'll give you 1/5. If you give me -7/8, I'll give you -8/7. If you give me 1/3, I'll give you 3.

The only number that doesn't have a reciprocal is 0. That's because 0 multiplied by anything gives you 0. There is no number "n" such the product of 0 and n is 1.

Now, some people call the process of multiplying by the reciprocal of a number, "dividing by that number." Because of that, and because 0 has no reciprocal, people say, "you can't divide by 0." Now you know why.

So, with that in mind...
What do you multiply each ofh te number in the list that gives the product of 1?

Sorry it took so long... I'm a slow typist... But now you know where the other posters got their answers.
