Assuming you work 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year, it would be $19.77 * 40 * 52 = $41121.60. Overtime and vacations will change that of course.

Figure that the average person will work 40 hours a week for 52 weeks a year (including paid vacation) so this equals 2080 hours a year. Multiply this by 19.77 = 41121.60

Most people get 2 weeks vacation, so I would say

2000 hours / year (that is 50 weeks x 40 hours per week)

2000 x $19.77 = $39,540 per year

Unfortunately with the state of the economics and cost of living..
it equals = Not enough to live now days!
The answer is : $41,121.60 Gross income.
But, minus out for taxes and other deductions
. because that is what you will LIVE on.. and you get the NET income..
Too many people look at the Gross Income and get excited..
I feel it is indeed "GROSS". ( disgusting) that we can't keep what we earn to live on! The amt. to figure your Net depends on many things.. Are you having medical benefits taken out?, and the state and federal taxes if in U.S. .. and other deductions..
It is said to consider home ownership in the U.S. one needs to be making an income of $ 130,000.. and we wonder why so many foreclosures?... when does it stop?? is my question. and , then too why all the problems with youth?.. both parents are out trying to make a living for their family, rarely home or too tired to interact.
sorry ...

take your hourly wage ($19.77) times it by how many hrs you work a week & times that by 52 weeks (out of the yr) should get you your amount...I dont know what your hrs are, so I'll do an example of me:

I make $11.50 an hr.
I work 40hrs a week

I would take my $11.50(hourly wage)*40(hrs/week)=460
Take 460(total)*52(weeks/yr)=$23,920(total)

Dont forget that taxes are taking out each paycheck & that changes as well be/c they take out more if you work overtime...sucks doesn't it!!!!!

If you're a full-time, you probably got your own insurance...so they take that out of your paycheck as well.

Then you gotta pay State & Federal & some other crap...which you'll get in return when you do your taxes...not all, but some

$41,121.60 if you worked every week, 40 hours/week, (52 weeks/year or 2080 hours.

Now if you have 2 weeks (80 hours) paid vacation, that is worth $1,581.60. If you get paid out for unused vacation, you can make up to $42,703.20 total.
Other benefits (health insurance, health saving account, cafeteria plan, etc) will also impact the total discretionary income you have to spend, but will not impact your gross salary like vacation does.

The formula is hourly rate * 40 * 52.

As a quick calculation:

Take your hourly rate, double it and add three zeros.

So $20/hour is $40,000/year.

if you work 40hrs a week the total would be 41125.24
19.77times 40 = 790.87 per week
790.87 times 52 weeks a year = 41125.24

plus any overtime

How many hours do you work a week?
Is it consistant?
How many weeks a year do you work?
Let's say you work a 40 hour work week.
That's 160 hours a month.
That's 1,920 hours a year.
That's $37,958.40 a year.
