Why do people who Just happen to not like the vehicle you are trying to get fix, have to stick there opinion in about what you drive. "Well what do you expect from a piece of junk". Or go get a real car or truck. Or " It's a piece of crap".
I have driven a varriety of cars and trucks for over 50 years.Studabakers, General moters, Ford products, Chryslers, and had something to like in all of them. Today ALL auto makers are very competive and I wouldn't put one above the other. I have worked for Ford, Chevrolet, and retired from Chrysler/Dodge after 24 years, So naturaly I know more about Chrysler products than the others. But I would NOT say Chrysler is better OR the others are junk! SO all you nay sayers out there. If you don't like the vehicles these people are asking for help on, why don't you go to the catagory of vehicles you DO like and give THEM you're opinion? And stay there!

i don't judge what anyone drive now days ,and your right it does get old seeing this all the time, the most famous ones are ,,,its a ford junk it,,,and there are other about other cars,i own a dodge, Chevy, and a Nissan, not to mention a few others,i would be nice once in a while to just see answers instead of people bashing other car makers, all cars will give problems, even Mercedes will,so there's no reason to bash other car makers, the people who own these cars like them, and I'm sure they probably don't like seeing or hearing it either,i have probably in my life of being a mechanic drove one of every car probably made, and to me they all seem the same they take you from point a-to point b,that's what counts now days,it would be nice to not see people bashing dodges and fords, those are the two they bash the most, but it probably wont ever happen,I'm sure you,ll get lots of answers on this question, everyone has an opinion ,and the probably will express it,good luck with this one.

Yeah people like to gripe or just say those things when they don't have an answer. However, I do sometimes express my dislike for the inferiority of American cars vs Japanese cars
I do not like Chrysler products. Just to give an example. I Bought a Scion Tc for mayself and a PT cruise for my wife. I have not had a SINGLE problem with the Scion in almost 50,000 miles. The PT is already having break noise from the rear drums. ne of the pulleys is beginning to make noise. The car has "just shut off" a couple of time for no reason other then maybe heat. Is what I'm told. Cabin noise it much higher, and so is engine noise. I consider both these cars in the same League and I certainly see a contrast in Quality. And this is somthing I've seen time and time again over the years with Chryscler products. So that's probably why you get the responses you get. People are frustrated with American junk.
Yes Toyotas are made in the US but they are still designed and engineered by Toyota. My Scion was made in Mexico for god's sake. And it's still better put together then most any American car I've been in.

Hey, while I can appreciate your view, and in some ways agree, I would disagree as well. I worked as a Master Technician, as well as a Field Engineer for Chrysler for many years, and also field engineer for BMW for many years. I can tell you first hand that Chrysler's quality has fallen bad. I have seen 40,000 dollar Jeep Grand Cherokee's with bad differentials, right off the car carrier, hundreds of them. Driveline problems, interior problems, poor quality, etc.

When Daimler took over, everyone expected better, but they made it worst. Cut corners, lay thousands of people off, etc.

Then, on the other hand, I also owned a 2003 GMC Yukon, $48,000 vehicle fully loaded, at 15,000 miles, it sounded like a diesel when I started it up, PISTON SLAP. According to GM this was normal. This was a disgrace. So I will say that GM has major quality issues as well.

Then, while Foriegn vehicle manufacturers have much better quality control, foriegn cars have their problems too. But the way they deal with the quality problems is much better then the US manufacturers. Toyota, Lexus, Nissan, BMW, etc... all have had their problems and issues, but they take care of their customers and FIX the problems. US vehicle makers tend to tell their customers "too bad" and let the problems continue rather then fix it, or have to fix all the vehicles on the road already.

For Example. My Nissan titan, which I love, has had no problems, then one day the rear differential blew up. I had it towed in. Nissan told me they had some issues and already had an updated rear differential out to correct the problem. My truck was towed in on a Monday afternoon, I got my truck back Tuesday night, with a brand new differential assembly installed. No problems, no questions.

Can you see your issue from a different view now?

With the prices of vehicle's today and the fact that people have to finance them for 5-6 years, they expect a good product. If they have owned a vehicle and had major problems, and the manufacturer didn't take care of it, or still was a bad experience, it is human nature to spread the word.

This is why they say a happy customer tells about 2 people on average and an unhappy customer tells 10+ people on average.

I am sure you cannot blame someone for having a bad tast in their mouth. Would I buy a dodge product any more, no, but on the same token, I owned 3 dodge Dakota's years ago that were absolutely perfect. Loved them. So after a few bad experiences it can spoil your view.

Yes it gets old. I try to answer someone's question without putting down their decision on what they drive. Everyone like different types of vehicles. That's why there are so many different makers out there. It's all about choice. I might prefer a certain manufacturer over any others but I'm not going cast the others in a negative light.

I was a Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep dealer for 23 years. Yes they had problems but we traded for tons of other manufacturer's vehicles that had just as many problems.

A lot of people on here make negative comments based on their perceptions. At the same time just because they might have had trouble with a certain brand of car doesn't mean that every one of them will be bad.

I own one of each a Ford A chevy and a Dodge in the past I preferred to buy Chrysler I've just found their dealers to be the biggest jerks and thats not to say that car dealers as a whole are a great bunch of people.I think Americas car buying experience could be greatly improved if a fair amount of dealers went to jail for fraud that includes the import ones. All cars have there good and bad qualitys.I do agree with you that cars are getting to be more equal in build quality it's just a shame that its going down.Todays cars in my opinion and you can definetly add the japanese cars in this opinion are nothing more than recycled plastic garbage containers.Reliability and quality is way down and recall numbers are horible across the board and for import fans honda has the worst numbers of recalls per model and average.I try not to show bias and speak not only from opinion but from personal experience I'm sure I've ruffled some feathers on my views of the 300c but those come from actually owning one.So I see your point but I also no one mans piece of crap is another mans piece of gold.

with the advent of computer aided design, they really are just nuts and bolts these days, it really doesn't matter which mark you buy. that being said, people will allways feel loyalty to something, why not cars? though sometimes they do express their opinions with a little too much enthusiasm....lol
