I don't believe Santa was ever associated with the bible. He was portrayed threw history and was a real person back who knows how long ago. As for Christmas haven't you ever read about the birth of Jesus? That's where Christmas began.

The Bible DOES NOT talk about Santa Claus at all. There is, in fact, no such thing. The idea for Santa Claus evolved from a very kind Turkish gentleman who gave to the poor and especially to children. Christmas itself is not mentioned in the Bible. Christmas is actually a man made holiday that commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and celebrates the miracle of the blessing of salvation that his birth heralded. It's really a beautiful tradition when you look at the biblical roots.

The story of Santa Claus came from a real man hundreds of years ago named St. Nicholas. He left gifts for people at their doors at Christmas time.

Christmas is not jesus's birthday but was originally a pagan holiday. It wasn't originally called Christmas, either. You can find websites and books that will detail the actual coming about of today's Christmas. It's not in the bible.

Actually Christmas (December 25th) did not begin as a Christian holiday, but a Pagan festival. When the Roman's established their Republic in the land of the Pagan, they made the holiday a celebration of Jesus Christ's birth to demolish the Pagan holiday that already existed. Most Western cultures with a predominately Christian population now celebrated December 25th as Christmas. According to most theological scholars, Jesus was actually born more around the late Spring, early Summer time frame.

Santa Clause, or St. Nicholas, was actually a real person who, after the middle ages would ride around Scandanavia an put presents in the shoes of Dutch children who left their shoes outside their houses one time a year. That is why wooden shoes are still associated with Christmas today.

Santa Claus is never mentioned in The Bible. The birth of Christ and the three Kings of the Orient bringing gifts are though. The holiday of Christmas used to be a day where those who believe in God and His Son Jesus Christ celebrated the birth of Christ, which embodied the promise God made to send a Savior of all men and women. These days it's just a commercialized Federally mandated day off where the goal is to spend lots of money on gifts and get a lot of expensive gifts. It's sad, but the true meaning of Christmas has pretty much been lost on the world...

Christmas is supposedly celebrated in honor of the birth of Jesus. Santa Claus is just a fairy tale of sorts for children. Like many holidays, Christmas has become extremely commercial, in the attempt to boost the consumer attitude. "I have a good life because I can afford to buy things." But people who are truly religious celebrate the birth of their Lord, not Santa Claus and gifts.

No where. It has pagan origins. It was not until several hundred years after Jesus lived on the earth that people began to commemorate his birth on December 25. But that was not the date of Jesus’ birth, for it evidently took place in October. So why was December 25 chosen? Some who later claimed to be Christian likely “wished the date to coincide with the pagan Roman festival marking the ‘birthday of the unconquered sun.’” (The New Encyclopædia Britannica) In winter, when the sun seemed weakest, pagans held ceremonies to get this source of warmth and light to come back from its distant travels. December 25 was thought to be the day that the sun began its return. In an effort to convert pagans, religious leaders adopted this festival and tried to make it seem “Christian.”

The pagan roots of Christmas have long been recognized. Because of its unscriptural origin, Christmas was banned in England and in some of the American colonies during the 17th century. Anyone who even stayed home from work on Christmas day had to pay a penalty. Soon, though, the old customs were back, and some new ones were added. Christmas once again became a big holiday, and that is what it still is in many lands.

The story of Jesus's birth is covered in several chapters in the Bible, and the religious observance of this special date is marked by a special church service or Mass - hence, Christ's Mass, or Christmas.
Santa Claus - originally known as Saint Nicholas - came long after. As a saint, he has a certain standing in the religious structure, but as a gift-giver, he gave rise to a more secular tradition. He was used as an example of the Christian virtue of generosity and the rewards of being good. Over the years, St. Nicholas and gift-giving became a less religious tradition and a more secular tradition, just like Christmas trees and pointsettas and carols - all of which have pagan roots as well as Christian significance.

To celebrate the birth of jesus
Saint Nicholas really existed (don't know about the flying reindeer lol) It was a LONG time ago he actually left kids presents, but sadly during one trip down a chimney he broke his neck.
But Santa Claus was always a cover up when I was younger so I didnt know that my brothers and sisters actually got me presents.
