They go there to see him. It's his right to find a lawyer.Just because he murdered two people doesn't mean he loses his rights. You'd think the NAACP would be knocking down the door to help him. I guess Jackson and big Al haven't heard about brother OJ yet. If I call him a Nappy Headed Hoe will they help him?

Because O.J. is a citizen like everybody else and the Bill of Rights states that everyone gets a fair trial and has the right to be represented by a fair council (lawyers). Just because he's guilty or innocent doesn't change that.

YES! I,m also sick of the media attention given to O.J. he probably met with the P.D. initially. That is until his own lawyer took over the case.

This was for the initial appearance or arraignment, as it's called. That's the only reason i can think of.
