Why are people still less skeptical of the mainstream media?
isn't watching TV like volunteering to be brainwashed?

You must be young. There was a world before the internet...and back then we only had a handful of channels on television. There was, in fact, quite a bit LESS free speech on television then than there is today. Sure, a lot of it is biased one way or the other...but intelligent people can still get something out of it without being brainwashed.

I mean, I hear ya...a lot of people just drink the Kool-Aid without question. And it does seem that critical thinking skills are becoming far less common.

Watching TV is like watching a frozen half baked idea thaw.

I find your premise lacking as well. Your right to speak does not impose upon me any obligation to listen.

I find your premise to be lacking. You can stand on a corner and speak freely all you want!
