5/6(6x + 12) + 1 = 2/3(9x - 3) + 5
Since the parentheses have common factors and are divisible by the denominator of the coefficient:
5(x + 2) + 1 = 2 * (3x - 1) + 5
5x + 10 + 1 = 6x - 2 + 5
5x + 11 = 6x + 3
6x - 5x = 11 - 3
x = 8

you are solving for X
5/6(6x+12) +1=2/3(9x-3)+5
first you have to slove inside the () then,
on the outside of () you are going to mutiply by the inside of the ()
5/6(18x)+1=2/3(6x)+5
15x+1=4x+5
now you combine like terms and what you do to one side of the equals you must do to the other.
15x+1=4x+3
-1 = -1
15x=4x+2
now you divide
15x=4x+2
/15x=/15
which equals
x=4x+2
over15x

5(6x+12)+1=2(9x-3)+5(thats (6x+12) over 6 and (9x-3)over 3)
___6_________3
30x+60, +1=18x-6, +5 (same here)
___6________3
30x+60+1=36x-12+5 (all over 6 its the common denominater)
________6
30x-36x= -60-12+5-1
-6x= -68
-x= -11.3333333
x=11.33333
i think thats right, hope that helps good luck :)
