When you work hard to get your 'play time' as a reward, the 'play time' is always MUCH more satisfying. The less work you do, the play becomes less and less meaningful - almost droning. Now, if you cross the line, if you become one of those that can't take care of their lives because they're too busy playing games then you have a serious problem. See, you already know what's right - everybody has a weakness towards games in the face of work; it's only a matter of truly believing that your work is more important. As long as you are deluded to believe that play should be more important, you'll never be able to change. One of the biggest hurdles as students is that students are not able to use their imaginations or expand their 'pleasure spots' into their own work. Work can be interesting, at times even much more than a little mindless game. Think about that.

It's all about discipline on your part. You are in control of what you are doing and nobody can change that.
It's pretty simple - DON'T open your Internet Explorer until you have completed your homework. If you have to be online to do it, then just go to the site you need and make a rule that you won't go to any others until your assignments are completed.
Knowing that your homework won't get finished if you start looking around should be enough to keep you from doing it. Either that or a couple of missed homework assignments that bring your average down.

You have to set priorities.
What's the most important thing to you in the long run, and what's the most important thing to you in the short run?
Figure this out, think through it THOROUGHLY, and come to grips with it and then make up your mind and stick to that.
Don't let yourself become so easily destracted.
Also, if you get to those important things first and get them done and over with for an allotted amount of time, then reward yourself with the more trivial things, like computer games.
You probably procrastinate thinking that if you start a project you're not joyfully looking forward to then you'll miss out on the things that you DO really enjoy doing; but this is not true. The sooner you get done with the not-so-pleasant things the sooner you can really enjoy yourself with those things that you love to do, and GUILT-FREE!
