To Where You Are
*Music: Richard Marx -- Lyrics: Linda Thompson

Who can say for certain, maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me, Your memory's so clear

Deep in the stillness I can hear you speak
Your still an inspiration, can it be

That you are my forever love
And you are watching over me from up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for a while
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing all power can't be seen

As my heart holds you just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me everyday

Cause you are my forever love
Watching me from up above

And I believe that angels breathe
And that love will live on and never leave

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are.

Add Josh Groban's haunting voice and there you have the perfect sob-song

Reggie - you're thinking of "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks.

That's a hard one! I'm a huge jellybaby and cry at quite a few songs but the one I remember the most is the Faith Hill song from Pearl Harbour. I don't recall it's name but I blub every time I hear it :(

Mike and the Mechanics, The Living Years, about a guy who had fallen out with his dad and never got the time to tell him how much he loved him and was sorry before the dad died. It is sad and so very true.

The winner takes it all by Abba.
The fact that the lyrics were written by the singer's ex husband just adds to the overal sadness.
