As a Muslim American living in Morocco I personally agree with your wife that Morocco is a better place to live than USA. Any things (not many and mostly material/specific food items) that may not be available as readily are easily lived without, alhumdulilah.
I believe raising a family is better here, life is easier, slower paced, more relaxed, people are friendlier (in general) and though some people may not practice Islam as much as we would love to see each other do they are still Muslim and respect/love Islam.
Brother, I would like to give you links but I am really not aware of anything on employment. Personally I can tell you that NOW is the time to get in on owning your own business here. Trading/tariffs/customs have been overhauled in the last few years and there are opportunities abounding inshaAllah for those who can afford to get their foot in there.
Right now the dollar = about 8 dirham
Depending on what city you would choose to live in you can rent a decent size apartment anywhere from 1500 dirham to 5000 or more a month. In Agadir, where I live, you could find a nice 2 bedroom/2 bath for 2000.
Have you been to Morocco yet brother? Come here and travel a bit and see for yourself, experience the culture and the people. If you come to Agadir my husband and I would enjoy showing you and your wife around.
May Allah make it easy for you.
EDIT: SISTER WOLFMUSLIM, GENERALLY SPEAKING, IS NOT CORRECT. I LIVE HERE AND KNOW FACTS. MY HUSBAND IS MOROCCAN ALSO, I HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 2 YEARS AND OBVIOUSLY MY HUSBAND LONGER.
AND WHAT IS THIS STATEMENT, "MOROCCANS DON'T EAT OUT...." ROFL!!!! THIS IS ABSURD.

RE:
My wife wants to move to Morocco?
So my wife wants to move to Morocco. She thinks it is a better place to be than the U.S. as it is mostly Islamic. Can anyone give info or links concerning employment, housing, currency exchange, etc?

Welcome to morocco, it's a great place to live, as far as employement it depend on what you do and what skills you have, there's always a job waiting for you, housing prices depends also, a two room + living room+kitchen etc.. apartement in casablanca is from 35 thousands to 75 thousand dollar. currency exchange, well the dollar is a bit on a free fall these days, 1 dollar used to be almost 10 dirhams, now it's only 7.80 as of last week.
And ramadan mbarak you all

Morocco is a nice country and things are cheaper than the US. I have travelled there for two weeks, and I loved.
If you are from Middle Eastern somewhere you may like there. Poeple are beautiful and friendly. But it is a poor country and the infra estruture there is not comparable to the US... Why don't you go visit with your wife and see if you like it first...
good luck

I agree with the sister in the 3rd post. I would like to add that there are so many American and European women who are Muslim and have made hijrah to Morocco. Come for a visit, if you aren't natives or if you haven't done so yet and then see for yourself.

I know you definately don't want to go to the UAE but the UAE can give you a good starting point for moving to mooroco via the UAE, employment is good (english speakrers are treated well) and you can build your finances and your connections in the islamic world, so as to one day move to mooroco.
Currently mooroc is boomign aswell so ya..

Morocco doesn't have any jobs and they are poor. It's very hard to get a job there. It's really expensive to live there. The Moroccans don't eat out as it is very expensive for them.
