er it has 2b based cinderella, little red riding hood etc jus have to make it more modern pls help!!!

Roald Dahl (author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory)wrote modern day versions of six fairy tales. They are included in his book Revolting Rhymes. They are rather funny too. My favorite is Little Red Riding Hood, but there is also Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White, Goldilocks, and the Three Little Pigs.

Cinderella: An abused girl from a council estate gets to go to Chinawhite's & meets a rich & famous footballer (?)
Red Riding Hood: A girl has to visit her grandmother's but has to go across a rough estate full of gangs & guns. The gang break into her grandmother's but a neighbour gets rid of them (etc).
Alternatively, have you seen Romeo & Juliet with Leonardo Dicaprio? This is bringing an old story into a modern setting and might help you or give you some ideas.

apply the morals and story but change the situation/ background. look at the remake of Romeo and Juliet - made it up to date gangland. You should try and imagine the setting yourself, or you will really learn nothing from this exercise - try and think of say 3 different types of people, it doesn't have to be a princess etc..... Please try and do this yourself - you'll be really proud of yourself

how about Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz, or Frodo and the Ring...those can all be considered fairy tales
