Can I just take it to a dealer? How much do those things cost?

Around here many radio and speaker shops have remote starters that work as well or better than ones supplied by GM. It takes about 2 hrs. to properly install them. As I remember the one I purchased cost a little over $225.00 installed. There was one less expensive model and one that had more amenities that I didn't give a hoot about.

Dealer=Stealer

You're better off at like a sound/electronic shop. They usually do that, and approximately you're looking at about 200+ bucks. depending on the brand and OPTIONS it has included. Good luck
