Yeah "Third Eye Open: String Tribute To Tool" I've heard some of it, it's ok...
They've done quite a few tributes to lots of different bands.

From what i know, there is an album of metallica played by an orchestra/string group. maybe they did the same tool covers.
the group is called apocalyptica.

I bought it for a friend recently....where were these when my boys were babies....

There is. It's at Wal-Mart. I love Tool. I didn't like it, because there is no drums. Just strings. It sounds dumbed down.

yep its a string quartet i think its third eye open, its all string instruments playing tool songs, its pretty good if you like that. i listen to it.
