Here's the thing about liver cleanses and general cleanses.... the ONLY reason that people don't need cleanses is if they have a near-perfect diet.

In today's world, there are too many pollutants in the air, water, and soil, so everything you eat, drink, and breath has some level of toxins in it. Because of that, modern humans needs to clean out their system on a fairly regular basis, and moreso the organs that are involved in detoxification (like the liver and kidneys).

In an ideal world with little or no pollution (similar to what it was a few hundred years ago), people DIDN'T need to cleanse any of their organs aside from medical conditions or really bad diets. Unfortunately, pollution has made it much more important, and it's really unfortunate when people (including many doctors) either don't realize or don't consider that fact.

All that being said, any herbal liver cleanse would be perfectly safe in moderation (eg. follow the bottle's recommendation). The most popular products for liver health/cleansing are Milk Thistle, Dandelion, Yellowdock, Burdock, Parsley, Black Radish Root, N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC), and Trimethylglycine (TMG).

Safe Liver Cleanse

Brian's answer is hilarious! Thanks for the dose of laughter today. Seriously, a liver cleanse is like deep-cleaning your carpets or steam-cleaning the engine of your car, I think it would function better if it were periodically cleansed, and how often is a personal decision, from every three months to every seven years, depending on your needs, diet, lifestyle, etc. Liver is affected by pills going through your bloodstream, so take a quick account of what you've put through there over the years and that will tell you how important this may or may not be. I do full cleanses once or twice a year, it helps psychologically if not physically, I feel purer and ready to take on new challenges. Prefer the slow cleanses, quick-cleanse stuff is just a bunch of laxatives. Probably should get the best you can afford.

The easiest liver cleanse I've done , Is to mix 1/3 cup of lemon juice with 2/3 cups of olive oil. Drink it right before you go to bed, and try to lay on your left side most of the night, as it'll help drain all the unwanted mess in it. Then in the morning have 1 8 ounce glass of water before you leave for work or school or begin your chores. Then drink more water through out the day. As the water will help to clear the rest of it out for you.
You can do this treatment a few times a week, it isnt harmful for your body.
This treatment was told to me buy a natural health dr. a few years back. It has help a lot of people I know .

I have to disagree about not cleansing your liver. I think it is a great idea. I have seen a total health change with my mother who had high blood pressure, gall stones and was over weight. She is turning 60 and now looks like she is in her 40's + has dropped at least 50 pounds.
She read up on it, so do some research. She knows a lady though who did this and actually got rid of live parasites! Also she has met some ladies while researching this who had similar problems as she and now are in perfect health.
I suggest that you read up on it, talk to your doctor and go for it. I know my mom is like a new woman and I am also going to try it.
Tak care!

Use artichoke to increase bile production. Bile is secreted by the liver and serves to remove toxins by way of the bowels. The Disabled World website suggests eating artichokes to increase bile production as a means for cleansing the liver.
Take a milk thistle supplement.

You can know more other ways to improve liver, such as suitable diet, natural measures .you can refer to here to understand more:http://adola.net/go/fattyliver-bible/

Hope this useful!

My friend Rose was about 50 when she first came upon a new natural kidney healing program. Her life had been devastated, literally ruined with stage 4 kidney disease. She had no life, no job because she was too sick to work, not enough energy to see her friends and sat around most of the time watching TV. She basically was waiting around for kidney failure and to start dialysis. She is much better now. She followed a natural method with great results. Visit this site if you want to know more http://kidneydisease.toptips.org
Cheers ;)

Never. The liver doesn't need cleansing.

Most liver cleanses I've seen are either laxatives or involve drinking a 1/2 cup of olive oil which has about 1 days's worth of calories in it and about 4 days worth of fat. That much oil is undigestable, puts a strain on the liver and results in smelly, fatty stool with green globs of undigested oil in it.

Yuck!
