4 or 5, depending on how ur coach makes it, it the 'big man' postition. usually the 4 inbounds the ball and is taller and can rebound. the 5 is the best suited to play the post and can rebound and be big down in the key. they are pretty easy positions. and if ur confused why dont(didnt) u ask your coach. its kinda early for basketball to be starting isnt it?

Whats your hight, haw strong are you, how well can you shoot, who are you playing against, are you the tallest in your team? All these things are a factor to a good coach in deciding what position you should play in. Are you a good rebounder, shot blocker, can you play with the your back to the basket?? How fast are you? The list goes on, and on. But if you are a 4, or a Power Forward, you would need to help the Center, or 5 as a secondary defender in the low post, or next tot the basket. If you are a 5 or Center, you would need to be the first line of defense in the low post or around the basket. (Guards are the fist line of D, but the Center the the most important cuz 75% of most teams offense comes from the Center rather from the Power Forward).
