Positive views, I have my own values and If I were elected president the voters must agree with them. I would only want advise from economist on how to achieve my goals.

I would want someone's normative views as they would be advising in what should be done. The final decision would be up to myself, but I feel that a professional in the field would have a better idea of what policies to implement than I would.

I'm not sure what you mean by "normative", but I think I'd listen to advisors outside of the political and/or corporate arena when it pertains to economics.

There's entirely too much corruption in the American political system due to corporate purchasing of advisors, Congressmen, and so forth.

I'd listen to someone neutral, with no corporate or political "sponsoring" if you will.
