I think I'm due for open wallet surgery tomorrow when I go to the dentist - seeing the bill will probably be worse than the actual examination.

Interesting. I would say open wallet surgery would be the elective surgery that insurance won't cover, like face lifts and cosmetic stuff. Have fun at the dentist!

Hope you can afford the dental work. So many I know have lost teeth due to little or no $$$. My bucks fly out around the third of the month, which is when I pay bills. I am lucky to have learned ( and am still learning) to live within my means, and am grateful for what I've been given. Good luck and no pain to you!

I absolutely love your odd ball questions. Anyway, the first of the month I had a thorough cleaning of my wallet.

WOWWWWWW! Thats funny.
Took my kid yesterday, and I have dental insurance, (cigna) but it still cost $85!
He gave me a referal for the orthodontist *yay* because the kid "needs braces now, or we will have to send him for surgery". CRAP!
I have 2 more to go, and 1 def. needs braces and a frenectomy.
There goes retirement,vacation,new car,etc.

Oh yeah, they wanted to charge me $21 for a rinse.
Whaaaatttttt?
