ok... i attend english classes and there's a boy who has really funny pronunciation, every time i hear it i want to laugh really loudly, and i can't make myself stop (Imn't only one who laughs, others laugh too) help me please. how can i me myself stop laughing??? =]]

In a class you take other than one the boy in question takes, purposefuly give yourself a speech impediment, or an askew pronunciation. Imagine you've just come from the dentist and your mouth is completely numb. Use it in that class for two weeks, tell them you can't help it. Be serious. See how it feels to be laughed at. See what that knowledge does to your empathy for someone else with different speech.

It is a flaw like a big ugly blackhead on your personality. Some see it with disgust, others want to squeeze it and some are just glad they don't have such an ugly flaw in their skin. Yes, others have the same problem but it is easy to clean out or cover up. Try harder. If you could see what your laughter looks like to me, you'd stop it quite easily.

Is english the boy's mothertongue? Personally, if people were to laugh at any funny accent/pronunciation I'd caught, I'd laugh with them myself! :] Language is just.. language after all.

Looks like someone's not happy with my answer. I'd just like to add that I didn't mean that it's alright to laugh AT that boy.. I think it just ok to laugh WITH him, if he's cool about it :] Yet, to give advice, I'd need more information about it all.

Compassion. Read a good definition, try to think of someone either in your life or who you've heard about who is very compassionate, and emulate them... try to copy their sense of compassion, because in class at least you seem to be running a bit short of it, along with your classmates.
PS. Don't be saying "others do it," that's suspiciously like giving in to peer pressure... learn compassion for someone who speaks differently than others, and set a new example.

Try to put yourself in his place. Think about how you felt the last time someone laughed at you over something like that, how did you feel? Use that to cultivate compassion and empathy for him....

Just try to think how it hurts his feeling when you laugh at him, I mean really people get hurt by things like that. Sorry to be cruel but you seem kinda immature, maybe you need to grow up a bit so you know when not to laugh at people....

well first case if its really funny think why am i laghuing why would you isnt it your class tell the person stop tell him your parents are trying to work hard so his/her son can learn english tell him that then after he'll stop after if somone is making you laugh you'll waste your time and when you come back home you'll keep lauging walk up to him say please no more jokes its a annoying if he doesnt listen tell the teacher hes giveing me a heache best way of making people stop laghing or telling jokes
