9am: Wake up, shower, small breakfast.
9:45: Check e-mail
10am: Do first on-line casting call check
11am: Make daily phone calls (Agents, managers and the like)
11:45: Hit the gym
1pm: Light lunch, catch up on news
2pm: Little bit of free time, usually try to write or do something creative.
3:30: Second round of on-line casting calls
4:30: Checking e-mail again
5pm to Midnight: Is a mix of things from classes and working jobs to taking meetings and cooking dinner.
Of course auditions can be thrown in anytime slot on a whim. You'd also have to budget time to read other scripts, study etc.... Not the glamor life, but it works for most of us, so that we don't have to have second jobs and can just focus on acting.
On the set it's a little different. From our last call sheet this was the schedule. (It's a commercial but still, it gives you an idea)
9am: Crew call
9:30: Cast call
9:45: Make-up and hair
10:30: First shot
3pm: Lunch
4pm: Return to set
9:30 Wrap

When it rains, construction workers use the pportunity to clean their tools, sharpening the ones that need sharpening, oiling the ones that need oiling. An actor keeps his instrument in shape by staying in classes (dance, gymnastic, acting), working out (aerobics, lifting, running, yoga), looking for work (going to auditions, looking through Backstage or Variety, polishing his resume, finding new material for monologues or songs) and generally stays in touch with what's going on. Granted, you have the luxury of taking a day off or starting later, but you can't take too many days and many of those classes are before noon.
