I cannot find a site that compares crime rates and stats between the UK and Australia. Anyone help?

I am interested in crime rates and any other social differences between the two countries ie average house/car prices and such like. Thanks :)

Cost of living comparison is difficult but you might want to try:

Which may be of some help as it claims to be a cost of living comparison site for various different countries including UK & Oz. This site also contains a link to an international report comparing earnings and living costs in 71 cities globally inc London & Sydney.

For crime rate or other social comparison the only thing I could find was on Wikipedia and showed homicide only at

2006 UK 2.03 homocides per 100,000 population
2006 OZ 1.28 homocides per 100,000 population

Your best best to get a full picture is to look at the Office of National Statistics site (sorry don't have their address) they may have the info or if not a contact who can give you what you want.

It is a Government site so you should be able to get what you want without having to sign up or paying anything.
