okay i dont know how to do the fraction ones so please help! i am being homebound so this is why im struggling. please explain your answer so i can understand thanks!

Multiply equation 1 by 15


15(2/3x) - 15(3y) = 15(1/5)

10x - 45x = 3. . .new equation 1

Conbine the new equation 1 with equation 2

10x - 45y = 3
2x - 9y = 4
- - - - - - - - - -

Multiply equation 2 by - 5

- 5(2x) - (- 5)(9y) = - 5(4)

- 10x - ( - 45y = - 20

- 10x + 45y = - 20. . New equation 2

conbine new equation 1 with new equation 2
- - - - - - - - -

10x - 45y = 3
- 10x + 45y = - 20
- - - - - - - - - - -

The coefficients and variables cancell. No solution

Multiply the fraction one through by 15.

10x - 45y = 3
2x - 9y = 4

Multiply the second guy by -5 and add the two. This will cancel the 'x' term.

Whoa! It cancels the 'y' term as well. This tells me these two lines are parallel and have no intersection.

i dont think u can do it

I get 4/3 = 1/5

which of course, isn't true
