and i just cant get them to stop fighting. Now we are moving to a new place and my roommate has a 3 month old female black lab. We have tried bringing them all around each other to see if they will get along but the cats still fight and now the dog barks at the cats and chases them. Any suggestions to get them to stop fighting before we move to the new place?

Oh dear, you're headed for the pet version of a train wreck!
It is possible to train a dog to not chase cats: My family has done that a number of times.
Usually cats work out their own issues. But if this is still going on, the stress of a move won't help at all. You may need to get sedatives for all of your critters, unless you're willing to give them away. Ask a vet to recommend an animal behavior specialist.
